The journey continues...

I think I am quite reflective by nature anyway, but after having done a bit more reading about what it means to be a reflective practioner I realise that one of the ways I can improve the quality of my reflections is to write them.  This blog is a way of doing it really.  I type quicker than I write so thought this maybe a more efficient way of me making this happen!
I am going to focus primarily on assessment in my classroom with regards to my reflection as this is what I am interested in at present?
What is God-honouring assessment?
Why do I assess in the way I do?
What does the assessment I take truly tell me about my children and how I can work with them to grow?
How meaningful to the child/parent is the assessment I take?

I realise that tension and unease are going to be part of this journey and I may not necessarily come to any great and wonderful conclusions or changes but I know I need to be reflecting more meaningfully in order to not only improve my practice but also to engage with some of these struggles that are part of the daily walk in a classroom.
